MH
Joint Sealing
MH joints are one of the most
common areas of water infiltration. A hole is drilled
through the manhole wall and chemical grout is pumped under
pressure into the area. The grout expands to many times its
original volume and forms a pliable water tight mass
preventing water infiltration and stabilizing the
surrounding material. The area is then sealed using a
surface grout.

Additional Comments
Our most cost effective method of
stopping water infiltration through joints, particularly in
precast manholes.
Water can move around the sealed
area and exerts pressure on areas not sealed. In high water
pressure areas it is often necessary to chase the water from
joint to joint.
