Lateral Saddle Connection Repair

A "packer" is pulled through the sewer line and stopped where the lateral connects to the main sewer line . A sealer unit is extended into the lateral and pumped with air to form a pressure tight seal. A chemical grout is injected into the area to seal the entire area. The process is remotely monitored and controlled from the surface.
A retractable packer is extended into the lateral from within the main sewer line. The area is injected with a chemical grout to fill the voids within the first several feet of the lateral mouth. The grout expands to many times it’s original volume to fill the voids surrounding the pipe and then solidifies into a water tight, pliable mass which prevents water infiltration and stabilizes the native soil material.

Additional Comments

Very cost effective. Stops the infiltration of water and stabilizes the native soil material around the joints and at cracks.

The connection of the lateral to the main sewer line is one of the most common water infiltration faults in the sewer system. The problem usually stems from poor construction techniques at the time of installation.
